Külling
3-in-1 extraction system for concrete dustKülling AG has been a major player in the production of concrete elements and artificial stone in Switzerland since 1910. The product portfolio includes stairs, window surrounds, concrete pipes, columns and façades. The approximately 80 employees implement major projects for companies and local authorities as well as private construction projects. Once the concrete parts have been poured and hardened, the surfaces are ground smooth. This releases an immense amount of concrete dust and aerosols due to the use of water in the grinding process.
As part of the production expansion, the Swiss company was looking for a dust extraction solution for five manual workstations and two large sanding machines. Dust turbulence caused by opening doors and windows should also be avoided by controlling the air flow.
INDUSTRY
Concrete element and artificial stone production
PROCESSES
Wet sanding
Wet polishing
MEDIA
Concrete dust & water mist
Requirement:
- Extraction and filtering of moist concrete dust
- Filtering large quantities of dust
- No clogging of the filters overnight
- Reduction of humidity and condensation
- Constant air flow even with open doors and windows
- Low maintenance and cleaning effort
- Automatic discharge system for large quantities of dust
Our extraction solution:
Simple filter cleaning
The filter stages have an automatic cleaning system or can simply be washed out manually.
Time-controlled discharge
The filtered dust is automatically discharged as sludge via a pinch valve, dewatered and can then be disposed of.
Result:
✓ Air pollution control & fresh air
The dust is filtered efficiently, allowing doors and windows to remain closed.
✓ Reduced air humidity
The automatic fresh air supply and summer/winter switch reduce the humidity in the hall.
✓ Energy-saving operation
The combination of recirculated air, exhaust air, summer/winter switching and an optimally planned pipe system saves a lot of energy and costs.
The complete solution from ABSAUGWERK has convinced us!
