The mountaineering companions ⛰ or burning legs 🔥

21. August 2023

After we have left the Gimpelhaus and reached the Nässelwängler Scharte, it was time to recharge our batteries. From the ridge, the survival adventure has really begun. After we were able to shake off “Gimli”, the clingy black-nosed sheep, we headed downhill through an impressive but also challenging cyclopean landscape over rocks, waterfalls and winding paths.

The steep descent, rock walls and scree have once again demanded the highest concentration and activated the last energy reserves. After all the “companions” reached the Sababach in the valley, we could refresh ourselves again in the ice-cold mountain stream before we had to master the last piece uphill to the Füssener Hütte.

After a more or less restful night in two 6-bed rooms, the next morning we went up the Große Schlicke (2,059m) to the second summit cross. of the adventure. The imposing Outlook in all directions was worth the effort. Afterwards we went to the Füssener Jöchle mountain railroad, with which we went back to the valley in the afternoon after a last refreshment at the Sonnenalm.

The sore muscles remained only a few days, the memory of this mountaineering adventure will stay with us forever. 💚
